چکیده

Earth-moving vehicles (EMVs) are vital in numerous industries, including construction, forestry, mining, cleaning, and agriculture. The changing nature of the off-road environment which they operate makes situational awareness for readiness and, consequently, mental stress crucial drivers requires a high level controllability. Therefore, monitoring drivers’ acute patterns may be used as an input identifying various levels attentiveness. This research presents experimental evaluation physiological-based system that can useful to evaluate driver different conditions. For validation, physiological signals such electrocardiogram (ECG), galvanic skin response (GSR) speech data were collected from nine participants throughout driving experiments increasing complexity on specific simulator. results show identified parameters derived acquired help us understand status when performing tasks, engagement is related road environments. multi-parameter approach provide more reliable information compared single parameter approaches (e.g., eye with camera) identify variations, relaxed stressed or drowsy. use these allows development smart cockpit, could communicate vehicle driver’s status, set up innovative protection aiming increase safety.

Apz-earth: a Simulation Based System for the Estimating And) Planning of Earth Moving Operations

Simulation studies are well suited for the analysis of earth moving operations for many reasons. First, projects generally involve some form of resource interactions where certain equipment must obtain certain resources before proceeding. Second, task durations are highly empirical and are thus suited for stochastic modeling. And third, projects are affected by external processes such as breakd...

Quantifying the Physiological Stress Response to Simulated Maritime Pilotage Tasks

OBJECTIVE The aim of this study was to quantify the stress associated with performing maritime pilotage tasks in a high-fidelity simulator. METHODS Eight trainee and 13 maritime pilots completed two simulated pilotage tasks of varying complexity. Salivary cortisol samples were collected pre- and post-simulation for both trials. Heart rate was measured continuously throughout the study. RESU...

A novel multiferroic system: rare earth chromates

In this work, we report on our studies on the multiferroic properties of two rare earth chromates, GdCrO3 and YCrO3. Polycrystalline bulks and thin films have been fabricated using conventional solid state reaction and pulsed laser deposition. Magnetic measurements have revealed that both compounds show weak ferromagnetism below the antiferromagnetic Neel temperature, TN, of 170 and 140 K for G...
